Monday was a holiday so we hung out around the house and rested. Today felt like my Monday. Having a day off at the beginning of the week just throws off my schedule.Here is another one of my new skirts. I received some many compliments on it today.

On my nails today I am wearing OPI San Tan Tonio. It's a nice light brown shade. It matched the khaki stripe in my crops today. I have two coats with no top coat. As you can see from the pictures I have some tip wear already. When I type on the keyboard I strike fairly hard and I was on here a lot today catching up on my blog list reading.

I purchased this dress from Walmart.com and its OK. I am not thrilled about it but it was so cheap and I thought it would be cool enough for the summer. When I putted in on this morning my sweetie asked if I was going to the pool! So yeah, it will most likely be my swimsuit cover up very soon! Last night we celebrated my birthday at my parents and my sister and her family gave me this necklace. I love seahorses! Dress-Walmart

For my nails today I kept the same polish from yesterday OPI Dutch Tulips but I jazzed it up with some sparkle on my ring fingers with OPI Mad As A Hatter. What do you think?

Shoesday

Right now BOGO is happening at Payless! I stopped in after summer enrichment and came home with two new pairs of shoes for the summertime. Both of my shoes are made by Dexter. Navy nautical sandals. These came in other colors and I may go back and get some more! :)

More nautical shoes! These were printed on the box as hot pink. I thought they were a faded red. They had other patterns in these shoes as well.

It's so hot here. The weather is crazy lately. My brother and his family live right outside Joplin, MO where they had that disastrous tornado and wiped out just about half of the town. My brother and his family made it through but it was very scary. Black shrug-Dots

My student teacher gave me the yellow jewelry set. I had nothing in my jewelry wardrobe this color.

The bracelet was a gift from a teacher friend. She knows that I love ladybugs.

Outfit of the Day 5/4/11

Today was a special day for me! Tonight I had my districts service awards dinner and I was going to be presented a gift and could bring a guest to share in this event. Naturally I took my sweet husband. We had a nice banquet dinner and then came the presentation of gift. I have worked for 20 years in my school district. I can't believe that when I say it. Below are the gifts I received. I had a choice of items to pick from; a paperweight, clock, watch, id bracelet and pearl necklace. I picked the pearl necklace I thought I would get more wear out of it. I had to walk across the stage and shake all the board members hands and the superintendent and was presented a silver picture frame at the end. I felt like I was graduating!
It was a nice evening out with my sweetie and look forward to the next 20 years!
