Friday Five

I'm back to share 5 new clothing items that I have picked up recently. 

First up is this cute striped pineapple top from Walmart. It would be great with denim, white, blue or yellow bottoms. So bright and cheery!

Next is this adorable ribbed pink pineapple tank. I plan on wearing this with a pink cardigan sweater to work. It is fitted so you will need to size up.

 These last three items are from Cato. I love that place to find affordable on trend items.

 First is this denim pencil skirt. I have been wanted one for quite some time. This was the most expensive of my purchases at $27 but still not bad for a great denim skirt.

 Next is this fun tulle skirt. I have been wanting one of these as well. I plan to wear around the holidays with a fun top and accessories.  This was on the clearance rack and cost less than $15! SCORE!!!

 Last but not least is this fun knit striped skirt. I wore this out the other night to dinner. My only complaint was the attached belt. I couldn't get it to look right with my top so I just tucked it in to my skirt. I think I will eventually snip it off.

Friday OOTD

Hi There!

Today we spent the day down on Galveston Island to enjoy the activities at Moody Gardens. They have several exhibits and movies to see and then at night Festival of Lights. You walk a mile and a half to see beautiful Christmas light displays.

Monday was a holiday so we hung out around the house and rested. Today felt like my Monday. Having a day off at the beginning of the week just throws off my schedule.Here is another one of my new skirts. I received some many compliments on it today.

Today we went to the zoo with the extended family. We had a great time and didn't sweat too much. The cousins all had fun exploring and learning about new animals. Out zoo had a new area open and it was pretty cool exhibit on Africa.

Woo Hoo for Saturdays! This evening we went downtown to the Houston Aquarium to have fun. The aquarium had a restaurant, exhibit, rides and carnival games. The cousins had fun hanging out with each other and catching up. Top-Walmart

On my nails I have the same colors from yesterday, Sally Hansen Fuchsia Bling Bling, Pure Ice Don't You Wish and then layered on top Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat in Distressed Denim.
This was my first attempt at crackle. It was a little tricky. I wanted to go over and reapply but then it got too thick. Have you tried crackle nail polish? Any tips to apply it?

In the exhibit we saw some things we liked, like this spotted stingray.

Outfit of the Day and NOTD 6/21/11

I purchased this dress from Walmart.com and its OK. I am not thrilled about it but it was so cheap and I thought it would be cool enough for the summer. When I putted in on this morning my sweetie asked if I was going to the pool! So yeah, it will most likely be my swimsuit cover up very soon! Last night we celebrated my birthday at my parents and my sister and her family gave me this necklace. I love seahorses! Dress-Walmart

For my nails today I kept the same polish from yesterday OPI Dutch Tulips but I jazzed it up with some sparkle on my ring fingers with OPI Mad As A Hatter. What do you think?

Outfit of the Day and NOTD 6/20/11

This evening we are headed over to my parents to celebrate my birthday a week early. We will have family in town next week and will be showing them a good time and not have time to celebrate if that make sense. I pulled these shoes out of the closet because I forgot about them and I know why. They rubbed blisters on the backs of my heels in the short time I wore them to work. I need to get some heel rub things and see if that will help or they are going to the thrift store!

For my nails of the day I wore OPI Dutch Tulips. I bought this polish because of the name. I love tulips. OPI is a great brand of polish. Do you have any?
