Love these boots but only wear them at Rodeo time. Several years ago, two of my girlfriends and I went to the Mall of America for a couple of days during Spring Break. We shopped till we dropped. It was a fun time and I remember it every time I pull these boots on.
I will be leaving town tomorrow. My son and I are taking a road trip to visit my brother and his family near Joplin, Missouri. I hope we have great traveling weather and NO SNOW! I will try to take pictures of my outfits and post on Tuesday when I return.
Have a great weekend!

Outfit of the Day 2/24/10

My photographer didn't tell me that she was taking the picture! It's a one picture deal for me. The green tank gives it just a little bit of color. Gray swing jacket-JCPenney(Nov 2009)
Green lace tank-Coldwater Creek(Jan 2010)
Black pants-Coldwater Creek(Aug 2008)
Black boots-Kohl's(Nov 2009)
Jewelry-Premier(Dec 2009)

I had to really think about those dates. I am not use to thinking about when I purchased something but this blog is having me see that I buy way too much. I usually buy something when I see it or like it and go get it. I am trying to be good and scale down my purchases and shop my closet. Also, I am working on my diet and want to buy smaller sizes so that is helping me some.

Close up of necklace. I have the matching earrings, too.

This evening I cut my bangs. I had gone to get my haircut this pass weekend and I just wasn't happy with the results. In fact, it looked the same. She did cut an inch off of the length but I just wasn't digging the front, so I chopped away and now have bangs. Can't wait to see how it will be in the morning!

Enjoy your evening!

Cowboy Boot Dreaming

At the end of this week is Go Texan Day! And that signals for all the normal people in the city to pull out their rodeo wear and get all dolled up. I love dressing the part. I think the denim, boots, sparkle and Southwest jewelry are wonderful. I have been looking around the Internet and came across these amazing boots. However, they are all out of my price range this year, but it doesn't hurt to dream. People will be sporting western wear the whole time the Rodeo is in town. I love it and can't wait.

You can click here to find out more about these boots and other western wear.

Weekend Outfits

My weekend started early. I received a call that my son was sick and had to go pick him up Friday. Then my sweetie got sick. I am not sure if they had the same thing but things were not pleasant over here.

Saturday we did manage a trip out to eat and then to the Lego store for our son. We had promised and he wouldn't let us forget. It was a new mall to me and we walked around and looked at different stores. I was surprised the Forever 21 has a store just for accessories and loved being in there. I don't particularly like going into their main store. I guess because I am no where near 21! What I wore to eat Mexican food and shop the Lego store.

This afternoon I threw on jeans and a t-shirt to do some running around. Nothing exciting. Now getting ready for the week. It is going to be busy and my son and I are heading out of town next weekend. I need to go plan my wardrobe for the week and my trip.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Today was not a holiday, back to teaching second graders. I had one of my students snap my picture before school started and they thought it was pretty cool. I was dressed warm and cozy. The day started out cold at 34 degrees and then warmed up to the 50's. I work in an old building and you never know if the heater will be working or not.

Outfit of the Day 2/15/10

My son and I had a holiday today due to President's Day so I met my mom and dad with my sister's children at Chuck E Cheese. We played games and had pizza. You are never too old for Chuck E Cheese! After our fill of games and tickets, my son and I headed over to the mall to check out the President's Day sale. We were disappointed. I did pick up a few items and my son got a new pair of tennis shoes.
Today's outfit was comfy.

Pink t-JCPenney
Jeans-Walmart
Zebra print belt-Target
Zebra print flats-Payless

My son was the photographer. He was not thrilled when he learned that he would probably be taking my photos daily!

First Post

I am jumping in! I have been lurking at fashion blogs and have been amazed at all the talented people who put together incredible outfits and have amazing style. These ladies are everyday ladies who work and have a budget for their fashion but yet seem put together, that's what I want! I love designer fashion but my budget rarely lets me purchase a piece and I am proud to say that most of my fashion comes from the everyday places; like Target, Walmart and JCPenney to name a few.

I have always written down my outfit for the day on a planner and try my hardest not to repeat that outfit within the year. I love mixing and matching different pieces but sometimes I get in a runt and wear the same comfortable thing over and over.

So this blog will let me have a visual to keep track of my outfits and to see what works and doesn't work on me. Also, to record the purchases I have made for my closet.

I hope you join me as I play dress up and discover my closet bliss!
